2013 IAAF World Chamnpionships - Moscow, Russia - Photo Story

Welcome to RaceWalk.com's coverage of the 2013 IAAF World Championships in Moscow. We are very pleased to be able to bring you complete coverage of the race walks, albiet with a bias towards the American athletes. We will as always at world class events try to post a photo of each and every competitor that crosses the finish line.

While I am here, I am joined by my wife Jennifer and we will be doing double duty with our One Dress, One Woman, One World project. We've just taken our 145th photo of her in her wedding dress in amazing places around the world. If you wish to check out the photos please visit our latest photo shoots located halfway down the home page at www.onedressonewoman.com. Thanks!

This World Championships is quite special for the USA. Since the addition of time standards to the World Championships and Olympics we have struggled to send more than one race walker in each event. This year we are sending a full squad of women with Olympian Maria Michta being joined by Miranda Melville and Erin Gray. In the men's races we only have one representive in each distance with veterans Tim Seaman (5 time participant in the World Championships) and John Nunn (competing in his 2nd World Championships) walking in the 20K and 50K respectively.

The trainings done, the course is set and unfortunately, it uncharacteristically hot in Moscow. We've prepared interviews with each of the American's for you to read while you wait for the results of the competitions which start tomorrow. First up is the Men's 20K, which will go off at 5:00 PM Moscow time. I will immediately start processing the photographs as soon as the race is completed and hopefully finish posting the photo story before I hit the sheets for the night.
