The high school event saw Lauren Harris and Kelsey Jordan walk stride for stride in the lead with Maria Garcia walking a few steps back. With about 7 laps to go Garica passed Jordan and was walking a 1/2 step behind Harris. However, Harris was able to pull ahead and build an unchallengable lead.
