2017 Women's 50km 2017 IAAF World Championships "London, England" Page 2 of 7

While not shown, I have images of Taylor-Talcott for each of the first few laps. She was walking strong and IMHO legally. Unfortunately, she got disqualified. She handled it with grace and dignity ""I'm sad, frustrated, disappointed. I felt great out there. I was feeling fantastic, strong. It was such a surprise [to be disqualified]."" While judging is always subjective, one has to question whether the judges' decisions (subconsciously or consciously) were a retaliation for her legal challenges.

Cruising past 10km in 49:22 Henriques and Yin are setting up a dual for the first IAAF World Champship 50km women's gold medal.

Our trio look content to let the kilometers pass by as they pass 10km in 51:45.

The royal gardens provided a beautiful backdrop, but I doubt the racers were watching.

Henriques and Yin are almost in a race by themselves.

Da Rosa, Yang and Burnett have their own race unfolding.

Randall came through 10km at 55:01, looking strong.

Our trio passes the gates to the palace once more.
