On the last lap, the battle intensified with Jiayu Yang leading Maria Guadalupe Gonzalez and teammate Xiuzhi Lyu.

But it would not be. As Yang headed for victory, Lyu was yanked from the course.

Yang went on to victory, Lyu had received her third call on the last lap and was disqualified.

By a few steps, Yang beats Gonzalez.
