2010 - IAAF World Race Walking Cup Copa del Mundo de Marcha de la IAAF Racewalk.com is proud to present coverage of the 2010 IAAF World Race Walking Cup from Chihuahua Mexico. There will be a total of five races on Saturday May 15th and Sunday May 16th on a 2K loop just south of the city. The course is located in the Deportiva Sur Sports Complex and is a total flat course with wide turns. While the race course is ideal for fast times, the altitude of Chihuahhua 1,434 meters or 4,730 feet and forecasts of 90 degree weather will temper potentially good times. My estimates are that walkers will be off their marks from 3%-4%, so it will become a race of place not time. The U.S. team will also have a challenge having a limited number of participants. For the men's 50K and women's 20K, we have exactly 3 participants. This means as a team there is no room for error. A single DQ or drop out will knock out the team from scoring contention.
Coverage of the IAAF World Race Walking Cup is made possible by sales of our books and DVDs as well as our Clinics of Excellence. Help support our site today! Our upcoming clinics include: July 10th & 11th, 2010 - Cincinnati, OH
