2009 IAAF World Championships - 20km Women's Race Walk

Challenged since her breakaway Olga Kaniskina wins in a time of 1:28:09. Sigificantly slower than her PR of 1:24:56, she crushed the field by 49 seconds. Over the last lap, Loughnane exerts her dominance and pulls away from Liu by 12 seconds to capture the silver. An elated Loughnane couldn't have been happier as the fans went crazy as if the majority of the crowd had flown over from Ireland.
