By the time leaders came by the far turn for a second time, roughly 4K into the race, Rustam Kuvatov was hanging on to his 3 second lead on the pack. However, followed closely by Ivano Brugnetti (2087), Francisco Fernandez (1610), and China’s Hao Wang. Often, people complain that they can’t walk legally around the turn. When the turns are designed properly and one walks properly, as the following photographs show, clearly one CAN walk legally around the turn.
