While nothing exciting was going on in the front of the race (38:44 at 9K), that is other than Tim and Kevin continuing to kick butt and Andrew Hermann continuing to make it look easy, the real excitment started between Sean Albert, John Nunn, and Ian Whatley. After John made his move Sean (39:59) countered and by 9K was pulling away from both John (40:06) and Ian (40:14). Equally important was what was going on behind them. They might not have noticed certain stealth race walkers coming up from the pack, but as a coach of John, I can tell you I noticed and was concerned.
