2008 Beijing Olympics

Just a brief update on air quality, something everyone is concerned about. Today was similar to yesterday. The sky was fogged over and you could look directly at the sun without sun glasses. This leads me to believe it is a bit more than just fog, but we shall see. Tomorrow it is supposed to be sunny. We are leaving in the morning, so I hope to get a better gauge of things before I go. The radio announced that there were 22 of 25 blue days. I assume he meant this month. If so, I have been here for two that were not blue. Again, I am concerned as the weather and air quality will affect our athlete's performance. August is supposed to be the worst month for air quality. We all hope better weather blows in soon.
